Osborne & Little Colour Trends Spring Summer 2013
03 March 2013
Chartreuse has long held a prominent place in the Osborne & Little colour palette; its presence in past and current collections in varying shades can be seen in striking wools, bright outdoor collections and rich colour-saturated velvets. This season, shades of yellow are mixed with greys and soft neutrals, for a contemporary look suitable for both urban and country interiors.
Neutral colourings are cooler this season, shades lean towards grey rather than beige and include linen, stone and slate for a very smart grown-up palette that is brought to life with texture and embellishment.
Earth tones are popular this spring, shades of coral recently seen in fashion are balanced with linen, to give them a clean, modern feel.
We have seen an increasing trend for the use of blue in interiors, favourites of Osborne & Little are sapphire, denim and turquoise.
Turquoise used as an accent injects an exciting shot of colour into calm neutral schemes; this versatile colour can also be married with bright shades of pink, orange and lime for a real zingy combination.
