Coriolan is the French spelling of Coriolanus. Gaius Marcius Coriolanus (fifth century BC) was the legendary Roman general who inspired Beethoven and who is the flawed eponymous hero of Shakespeare's play. A versatile cotton and viscose velvet in twenty key colours from the Lorca palette. Its soft handle and the chiaroscuro effect of the colouring make it an excellent choice for drapery as well as an ideal upholstery fabric with an exceptional Martindale abrasion test result (in excess of 200,000).
